Don Uker (age 5) sitting in the back seat of his car, "Donnie's Car," while a neighbor boy drove. Don's father, Earl Uker, built him this car in 1945. It was built using the Briggs motor from their washing machine. This car had one-wheel drive in the front with no clutch. You simply had to pull it into gear and go, then shift on go. The car was steered from the back wheels with the steering wheel coming from a burned up semi-tractor. Made of a windmill iron frame that was bolted together.
